42 Agentless Antivirus Hyper V
I have been given the chance to learn and administer our Windows 2019 server at work. I am not exactly sure why Server 2019 was installed on Hyper-V and not bare metal. We have 7 users who use remote desktop to get on the server and they only use basic office applications and that's it, that's all the server does. Was this done for portability reasons, so the VM can be easily moved? Wouldn't it have been easier to just have the installation without Hyper-V? I am just curious as to why this choi... (Hypervisor is a general term that describes virtualization software such as VMware ESX, Citrix XenServer, and Microsoft Hyper-V.) When you run an antivirus application on each VM on a hypervisor, there is high use of resources such as disk, CPU, and memory. It results in a reduced VM density per hypervisor.

I was told by our rep today that the MX68CW has a 259 day lead time. The shortest lead time of anything between an MX64 and MX85 is 110 days. If Meraki supported VMWare for their VMX appliance, I’d just buy those! I’m sure it would improve lead times on the MX too, since more people would be buying VMs instead of a physical appliance.
